Larry David has figured out how to be Superman. Well, kind of.
In the new issue of Rolling Stone, David says his character on Curb Your Enthusiasm (whose new season starts up again this Sunday on HBO) is “[his] version of Superman. The character is really me, but I just couldn’t possibly behave like that. If I had my druthers, that would be me all the time, but you can’t do that.”
Other highlights from the story include tidbits about how he’s not finished with stand-up, never getting married again and believes women wouldn’t approach him if he wasn’t Larry David. Plus, check out some colorful interviews with the cast, including JB Smoove, Richard Lewis and Susie Essman, as well as one with the show’s writers.
And if that’s not enough? Enjoy The Curb Effect, a close examination of how Larry David’s work has influenced and changed comedy forever. All of this and more over on RollingStone.com.
